WORCESTER-Anthony V. Rutkiewicz, 87, of 8 Tilbury Street, died Wednesday, June 21st, in Saint Vincent Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Madeline M. (Turcotte) Rutkiewicz, a son, Robert A. Rutkiewicz of Worcester, 4 daughters, Marie A. Parse of Agawam, Linda C. wife of David W. Favreault of Gresham, OR, Karen E. wife of Brett C. Buskey of Jefferson, and JoAnne wife of James C. Donahue of Auburn, 3 sisters, Helen Ludvigson of Millbury, Theresa Bienieki of Chepachet, RI and Anne Hamel of Southbridge, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Joseph and Stanley Rutkiewicz.
He was born in Worcester the son of Victor and Krystyna (Orpick) Rutkiewicz. Mr. Rutkiewicz was a graduate of Commerce High School and was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, the Polish Naturalization Independent Club and the Singletary Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid fisherman and storyteller, enjoyed vegetable gardening and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
The funeral is Monday, June 26th at 10:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. A calling hour will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral.
