Obituary

Toivo Richard “Dick” Louko, 86, died Monday, June 19 at his home after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor M. (DiCastro) Louko. Born in Norwood, he was a graduate of Norwood Schools. He also was a graduate of Culinary School. Mr. Louko worked as a chef at Norwood Hospital in Norwood for over 28 years, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining. An accomplished and well documented fisherman, he also enjoyed hunting and traveling. Mr. Louko was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Stoughton.

In addition to his wife, Eleanor, he is survived by his children, Steven R. Louko and his wife Cynthia A. and Paul F. Louko and his wife Nancy L. all of N. Easton, and Janice O’Neil and her husband David T. of Stoughton. He was the brother of the late Miriam Gill and John Louko. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, June 27 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8 PM. Donations in Dick’s name may be made to the Brockton VNA, 500 Belmont St., Suite 200, Brockton, 02301. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
