TILTON ---- Jeanette Viens Evans, 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Tilton, New Hampshire, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
After growing up in Allston and Cambridge, MA, she lived in California and New York before settling in New Hampshire, where she worked at NH Police Standards and Training, sitting on the council which she was very proud of.
She is survived by her dedicated and loving husband, four children, two
daughters-in-law, grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many beloved
friends.
Jeanette is remembered as being resilient, caring, quick-witted, intellectual, and
compassionate; she was a kind-hearted constant for all who knew her. Through every challenge life presented, Jeanette always continued laughing and was known to find humor in any situation.
She was a proud member of Mensa and enjoyed challenging others, solving puzzles, sewing, visiting the Museum of Science in Boston, taking trips to Montreal, and eating at local restaurants - especially T-Bones!
The family is deeply grateful for the fantastic care and support provided by the Lakes Region VNA Hospice staff who were nothing short of angels during Jeanette’s final time at home.
There will be no services at this time.
