Obituary




Walter F. Evora, 80, of Webster died Thursday, August 17th at home. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Dianne M. (Pina) Evora; his children, Brenda M Campbell of Webster, and Steven E. Evora and his wife, Aimee of Webster; four grandchildren, Brandon, Steven Jr., Paige, and Jared; four great grandchildren, Sophia, Mia, Vincent, and Jack; a sister-in-law, June Pina of Wilmington, MA; an aunt, Elsie Scott of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves two God children, Eric Harding and Leslie Sealey. He was predeceased by two brothers, David and Craig; and three sisters, Tina, Irene, and Juanita.
He was born in Boston the son of Walter Rhoden and Theresa (Evora) Smith. Walter worked for General Motors for over 25 years, retiring in 1989 as an assembly worker. Following retirement, Walter worked for Logan Express and as a tour bus driver for Fox Bus, Ritchie Bus Lines, MetroWest Transit, retiring in 2005. Walter enjoyed bowling, scratch tickets, sports, coffee, music, and playing pool. His favorite pastime was watching movies, especially Western Movies.
Calling hours are Thursday, August 24th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Family and friends will gather on Friday, August 25th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Walter’s funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester.
