Penny Batten Powers, 57, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, August 18, 2023, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 4 PM, Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with Pastor Becky Hill officiating.
Mrs. Powers was born November 23, 1965, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, to the late Jimmy Carroll & Sandra Kay Wright Batten. She was a homemaker who enjoyed arts and crafts. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed watching hummingbirds. She will be greatly missed by her canine companion, Ollie.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Dennis Powers of Fitzgerald; children: Joseph Powers of Birmingham, Alabama, Brian & Ashley Powers of Fitzgerald, and Merisa Powers & Dixon Williams of Fitzgerald; four grandchildren: Brianna Powers, Jonathyn Powers, Angela Torres, and Azaleigh McDaniel; and a brother, Michael Batten of Fitzgerald.
