Eli E. Perrault, age 85 of Bridgewater, died August 16, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the devoted husband of Mary Ellen (Murphy) Perrault for 60 years. Eli was born, raised and educated in Brockton, a son of the late Eli and Margaret (Donohue) Perrault. For over 30 years, Eli worked for the City of Brockton DPW.
Eli enjoyed sports and played on the Brockton City Basketball League for many years. He was also an avid sportsman, hunter, fisherman and beagler. Eli was a member and past president of the Beaver Brook Beagle Club and member of the Plymouth County League of Sportsmen. He enjoyed spending time with his extended family and loved his many nieces and nephews who called him the Jolly Green Giant.
Eli is survived by his wife Mary Ellen and was the brother of Sr. Jeanne Perrault, SMSM , of Waltham, Robert of Brockton, Joan Carter of Naples, FL and the late Edmund, Albert and Henry Perrault and Demetria Benoit, Helen Groden, Margaret Buguey, Patricia Duval, Virginia Perry, Marie Thomson and two generations of many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Monday August 21, 2023 at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton from 4-7pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:45am for a funeral Mass at St. Ann Church, W. Bridgewater at 12 noon. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
