Louise M. Gleason, 83, of Derry, NH died Monday, June 19, 2006 in Parkland Medical Center, Derry. She was born in Framingham, MA on September 12, 1922, a daughter of the late Frank and Charlotte (Hollander) Garbarino. She attended Framingham schools and graduated from South Middlesex Secretarial School. Louise also attended the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. She was employed as an executive secretary at Wellesley College from 1943-1949 and later held the same position from 1976- 1987 for the plant manager of the Data General Corp. in Southboro, MA. Mrs. Gleason has resided in Derry for the past twenty years.
She is survived by her husband, John P. Gleason of Derry; five children, Susan Mamon and her husband Teddy of Altamonte Springs, FL, Joseph Hayes Jr. and his wife Maura of Holliston, MA, Marianne Stevens of Amesbury, MA, Michael F. Hayes and his wife JoAnn of Hopedale, MA and Kelly Johnson of Ayer, MA; six grandchildren; a great grandchild; three sisters, Doris Frisco, Ann Micelotti and Joan Garbarino, all of Framingham, MA; nieces and nephews.
There were no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Holy Cross Church, 187 Hampstead Rd., Derry, NH on Friday, June 23rd at 10:00 AM. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New England Conservatory, c/o Joanne Coluccio, 290 Huntington Avenue, Boston MA 02115., or by contacting [email protected]. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry handled the arrangements.
