Obituary

Mr. Emmanuel Petit-Frère, affectionately known as Manno, graced this world with his presence on March 11th, 1954, in Limbé, Haiti. He was the youngest of seven children born to Anita Arisma and Mathieu Petit-Frère. In the early 1980s, he embarked on a journey that led him to the United States, where he found his home in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as in Montreal, Canada, where he joined some of his siblings. Fueled by a passion for mechanics and engineering, he pursued his studies at ITT Tech, specializing in automotive mechanics. Manno was not only known for his skillful prowess but also for his quick wit and clever humor. He radiated generosity and served as a loving father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. His love for his homeland, Haiti, was unwavering and he delighted in sharing stories of its beauty. In addition to his deep connection to his roots, he held a keen interest and loved to debate international geopolitics. He was a man of excellent musical taste, literature, movies, documentaries and had an enduring love for football. Viva Pelé lol. Thanks to him, his children were blessed to be introduced to various interests. Manno was a lover of knowledge in general.

His legacy lives on through his three children, Péralte, Martine, and James, who will continue to carry his spirit forward. Manno's memory is also cherished by his brothers and sisters, Rose-Neane, Rose-Pelina, Amalia, Luc, Paul. His spouse Magdalie. His nieces and nephews: Yvrose, Esther and Family, Peter, Jayme & Family, Marc, Ernerstine & Family, Luther, Diane & Family, Carl & Betty, Guy & Family, Othniel, Pascal & Family, Karline,Cyndy Mathieu & Family. The André and Belony families also share in the sorrow of Manno's departure.

As we bid farewell to Manno, his absence leaves an undeniable void, yet his memory will forever reside in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and a spirit that will never fade.

Viewing Hour will be on Monday August 21, 2023 from 10-11 AM followed by a Religious Service from 11-12 PM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, MA. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery, 800 Harvard Street, Mattapan, MA.
