WEYMOUTH — Carolyn May (Lilley) Green, of New Bedford, died Sunday, June 18, 2006, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was the wife of the late James E. Green.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Wm. and Caroline (Barrows) Lilley. Carolyn was a graduate of New Bedford High School. Over the years she was employed by Revere, Copper and Brass and St. Luke's Hospital as a secretary.
An active member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ, she served as chairperson of the flower committee. She was also a Girl Scout leader, a member of the NB Walking Club, active with the YWCA Friendly Visitors Services and St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary and Volunteers.
Survivors include a Son, Alan Stanworth Green and his wife, Jane of New Castle, Deleware; a daughter, Kathy Lynn Cushman and her husband, George of Rockland, Ma; a brother, William James Lilley and his wife, Patricia of Rhode Island; a grandson, Kevin James of Rockland; a longtime friend, Bernice; her niece, Marilynn and her daughter Jessica; her nieces, Christine and Nancy and their children.
