Charlie Coyt Stokesberry, III, 58, of Ocilla, died Monday, June 19, 2006 at Osceola Regional Hospital in Osceola, Florida. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2006, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr. will officiate with burial to follow in Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County. Pallbearers will be Willis Terrell, Derick Snow, Jeremy Vittitow, Chris Pope, Carl Brooks and Jason Minshew. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 22, 2006, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Stokesberry was born on December 24, 1947 in Crisp County and was the son of Charlie Stokesberry, Jr. of Rochelle and Patsy Winters Stokesberry, deceased. He was a truck driver for South Georgia Freight System in Irwinville and of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Judy Huggett Stokesberry, of Ocilla; three sons, Charlie Coyt Stokesberry, IV of Enigma, Jeremy Stokesberry of Jacksonville, Florida and Matthew Ryan Stokesberry of Fort Bliss, Texas; one daughter, Candie Sanchez of Ocilla; one brother, Patrick Stokesberry of Moultrie; two sisters, Carrie Minshew of Ashburn and Nancy McElmurray of Rochelle; and three grandchildren, Mikkel Sanchez, Cheyenne Sanchez and Camrie Stokesberry.
