Helen E. Messina, 96 of Somerville died Sunday after a brief illness in the Somerville Hospital Somerville, MA.
Born in East Boston, she lived in Somerville for the past 38 years and formerly of the North End of Boston. Helen was the daughter of the late Philomena (Accomando) and Dominico Minichino. She worked on the Production Line at Polaroid for 6 years and retired in 1968.
Beloved wife of the late Alfonso Messina. Devoted mother of the late Peter Messina. Sister of Mary D'Agostino of Burlington, Cecila Mascetta of East Boston, and the late Viola Indorato, Phyllis Benedetta, Louis and Michael Minichino.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 12 North Sq., Boston, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
