Obituary

Jason H. Washer, 86 of Wrentham passed away on July 24, 2023.

His parents, Della H. Davis Washer and Maurice H. Washer welcomed their son, one of seven children into the world on October 6, 1936. Jason was born in Johnson, Vermont. He then moved with his family to Millis, MA.

As a young man, Jason was employed by the Medfield Hat Shop. He was also employed as a forklift operator and responsible for maintenance at the Walpole Woodworkers. While working at the Walpole Woodworkers Jason met Barbara and they were married on September 27, 1958. They had three daughters, Sharan Curley, Sheryl Kennedy, and Rebecca Slade.

Jason was also employed at HG Davis in Cambridge; he oversaw maintenance and road calls to repair disabled forklifts (Preventative Maintenance 11 Truck). In 1964, he started his own business, Jason’s Forklift Service and was in business for 35 years. Upon retiring he took a position with Easy Day Manufacturing located in Holliston, MA as a maintenance supervisor.

He was a member of the Original Congregational Church in Wrentham where he donated many hours of service and was a Sunday school teacher for 14 years with his wife Barbara. He enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod with his family camping, bowling, listening to music, watching old movies, ballroom dancing and routing on the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. It was always a treat for Jason to hop in the car for a drive and stop at one of his local favorite spots such as the Rosewood or the Black Cow.

Jason was predeceased by Roderick Washer, Rebecca Richardson, Francis Washer, and Frederick Washer.

He was survived by his wife Barbara Washer, sister Joyce Keefe and brother Alan Washer. Daughters Sharan Curley of Glen Gardner, NJ, and her husband Tom. Sheryl Kennedy of Dartmouth, MA and her husband Steven and Rebecca Slade of Franklin, MA, and her husband Steven.

Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie Kennedy, Jason Curley, Sarah Curley, and Jacob Slade.

A private service and interment will be held.
