Laura M. (Fiorilli) Giunta died Saturday at Tufts New England Medical Center, after a long battle with cancer. She was 42.
Laura was born and raised in Winchester. After graduating with Winchester High’s class of 1983 she attended beauty school and worked several years as a hairstylist. After her marriage in 1987 she and her husband Philip settled in North Reading to raise their family. Laura was a dedicated wife and mother, who enjoyed the company of her family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of Philip Giunta. She was a devoted mother to Ronald James “RJ”, Leah and Nicholas Giunta all at home. She was a loving daughter of Mary T. (Ruscica) Fiorilli of Winchester and the late Albert. She was a dear sister of Ronnie and Danny Fiorilli. She was a cherished daughter in law of Philip and Theresa Giunta of Medford.
Relatives and friends may visit Tuesday from 3 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. On Wednesday morning at 10:15, a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Raphael Church, Medford, with the Rev. Kevin G. Toomey, presiding. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in Laura’s name to Tufts New England Medical Center, Development Office, 750 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02111.
