Doreen A. (O'Brien) Peters, 73, of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of David J. Peters, they shared 54 years of marriage.
Mrs. Peters was born in Newark, NJ daughter of the late Allen and Margaret (Alves) O'Brien and had been a longtime resident of New Bedford. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Design Mark. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and a lover of cats. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved lighthouses and taking vacation to New Hampshire.
Survivors along with her husband include her children: Samantha Peters of Mattapoisett and David Peters Jr ; 4 grandchildren: Brian Peters-Pike, Coral Peters, Owen Peters and Arianna Peters ; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Steve O'Brien and Robbie O'Brien.
