Leora M. "Lee" (Johnson) Smith, 74, of Wareham died June 17, 2006 unexpectedly at Tobey Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Richard H. Smith.
Born in West Springfield, the daughter of the late Ralph R. and Leora H. (Williams) Johnson, she lived in West Springfield, Southwick and Becket for most of her life before moving to Wareham in 1975.
Mrs. Smith was formerly employed as a nurses aide at Milbrook Nursing Home in Wareham and was the former proprietor of the Summit House Restaurant in Becket for several years.
She was a member of the Sippican Seniors and enjoyed bingo, Foxwoods and spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include 2 sons, Dale R. Smith, and his wife Pat, of Cary, NC, and Jay C. Smith, and his wife Billie, of Marion; a daughter, Bonnie L. Smith, and her husband John Graves, of Wareham; a brother, Charles H. Johnson of Georgetown, Delaware; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett. Her Family will receive guests on Wednesday from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to her service. Burial will be private.
