Bernard L. Plouffe, 90, of Medway, died peacefully on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Zagrodny) Plouffe
Born in Bellingham on November 23, 1932, he was the son of the late Henry and Emiliana (Dalpe) Plouffe.
Bernard was a resident of Medway for the past four years and formerly resided in Bellingham for most of his life.
Before his retirement, he worked as a custodian in the Bellingham Public Schools and had previously owned a construction business for many years. After his retirement, with a strong desire to stay busy, he worked at his son’s business, New England Overhead Door, for 5 years.
Bernard loved his dogs and enjoyed gardening and feeding his birds.
Beside his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Diane Smith and her husband Charles of Medway and Denise Del Gallo and her husband Bruce of Palm Bay, Florida, his son David Plouffe and his wife Robyn of Uxbridge, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Juliette Pinsonneault and Roland Plouffe.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Thursday, August 31 at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village Street in Medway at 11 a.m.
