Obituary
Worcester - With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Albert Plaud, 83, of Worcester who passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on July 5, 2023 with his family and loved ones by his side.
Albert is survived by his wife Deborah A (Gilfoy) Plaud of 46 years of Worcester; a son, Francis Plaud, and his wife, Amanda of Worcester; three daughters Lisa Plaud, her fiancée Sammy Medina of Southbridge, Melissa Plaud of Worcester and Michelle Salgado and her husband Mario of Worcester; seventeen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind four stepsisters Magdalene, Patricia, Mary and Julieann.
Albert was born in Worcester, son of the late Philip Plaud Sr. and Alberta (Cormier)Traves. He is also predeceased by three brothers, Phillip Jr, Robert, Ernest Plaud Sr.; a nephew, Ernest Plaud Jr.; two sisters, Louise Lucier and Leah Rice and his grandson, Riley Plaud of Jacksonville, FL.
Albert served in the US Army and worked the remainder of his life in the wire and cable industry. He worked for Astro Wire, Madison Wire, General Wire Products and Montrose CDT before retiring.
Albert also enjoyed bowling, fishing, wrestling, the Red Sox, music especially Frank Sinatra, and watching his kids and grandkids grow up.
The family would like to thank the team of nurses, and the ICU unit at St. Vincent Hospital for taking good care of him. Also, we would like to thank the Cancer and Wellness Center team where he received his radiation treatments. Both teams were very professional and caring when it came to providing care for Albert.
