Obituary Information
Paul E. Hurcombe, 59 years, of East Bridgewater, died unexpectedly Thursday at Brockton Hospital. Born in Brockton, he was raised in West Bridgewater, son of the late Emerson G. and Marjorie M. (Kohl) Hurcombe. He was a graduate of West Bridgewater High School, class of 1964. He enlisted in the US Army serving as a Green Beret Paratrooper during Vietnam and received several medals. Following his tour in Vietnam, he returned home and married his wife Deborah A. (MacDonald) Hurcombe in 1971. He attended Massasoit Community College and received his Associates Degree and graduated from UMass Dartmouth with a degree in Electronic Engineering. He had been employed for ten years by Foxboro Company and eight years by Northrop Industries. For the last several years he had been employed as an Inside Sales Representative for various companies. Paul was an avid card player, enjoyed golfing, movies, the beach, spending time watching ice hockey games of his son and grandson, and time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife Deborah A. (MacDonald) Hurcombe, one daughter Kimberly M. Braasch and her husband Brian of Middleboro, one son Brian M. Hurcombe of E. Bridgewater, one grandson Joseph Z. Braasch of Middleboro, two sisters Cheryl Martin and Linda Hurcombe, and many nieces and nephews.
