Michael Charles Park, 69, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Atrium Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 4 PM, Friday, July 7, 2023, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Mr. Park was born June 22, 1954, at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, to the late Homer E. Williams and Barbara Ann Williams. He was adopted and raised by Huang Sun Park. He moved to Reno, Nevada as a child and graduated from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, with a degree in Marine Biology. Mr. Park retired from Harrah’s Casino and later went into the car business as a Finance Director, General Manager, and Business Manager for several dealerships in Reno, Nevada, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Pensacola, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia. He ended his career as an internet salesman for Fitzgerald Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram. Prior to his stroke in 2015, he was a very active member of Arbor Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and was a member of the Men’s Ministry. Mr. Park was also a member of the Gideons. He was a member of Retired Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association. He loved his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Mr. Park had a jail ministry, leading many of the inmates to be saved. His favorite pastime was sharing Jesus. He loved his family and spending time with them. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as “Boo”.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jan E. Park of Fitzgerald; her children whom Michael dearly loved: Mendy & Shannon Vickers of Ocilla and Jay & Mary Taylor of Monroe; grandchildren: Cam Vickers & Hope Hutchinson, Emma Vickers and Madison Taylor and his constant companion, his little dog, Gucci. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Crystal & Homer E. Williams and a brother, Roger Williams.
