Obituary
Mrs. Smith died Thursday at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (McCormack) McLaughlin. She was a lifelong resident of Brockton. She retired after many years as Production worker at the former Howard Johnson Food Mfg. Plant in Brockton. Mrs. Smith was an avid reader and a longtime communicant of St. Edward Church
She is survived by two sons, Thomas J. Smith of Sandwich, Daniel W. Smith of Cohasset and a daughter, Carol Crean of Plymouth, a sister Pauline Kelly of RI, many grand and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Wife of the late William J. Smith, Jr. who she married January 4, 1942 she was a sister of the late Rita Perrota, Mary Plourde and Joseph McLaughlin.
