Kenneth L. Stogner, age 85, of Olive Branch, MS and formerly of Water Valley, MS, died in Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto on Thursday, June 15, 2006. Born in the Taylor Community of Lafayette County, MS, he was a retired Conductor for the Illinois Central Railroad and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Water Valley. He served his country in the United States Army during WW II.
Services will be at Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2006 with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley.
Survivors include his wife of Fifty-six years, Alice White Stogner of Olive Branch, MS: Two sons, James L. Stogner of Jacksonville, FL and Carl W. Stogner of Olive Branch, MS: He also leaves Two grandchildren, Kenneth J. Stogner and Kimberly K. Stogner.
Preceding Mr. Stogner in death were his parents: I. T. Stogner and Ada Ruth Hipps Stogner and a sister Mary Lou Fry.
The family request in Lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Gracewood Baptist Church, 8551 Getwell Road, Southaven, MS 38672.
