SARTORELLI, William A., Sr.- Of Chelsea, June 14th. Devoted husband for 62 years of Edith L. (Markiewicz). Beloved father of Dr. Linda M. Sartorelli of Biddeford, Maine, William A. Sartorelli, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Mendon, Richard W. Sartorelli and his wife Nancy of Chelmsford and David W. Sartorelli and his wife Dee of Wadsworth, Ohio. Loving brother of the late Dorena Belluci, Alfred, Emma, Vincent and Anthony Sartorelli. Cherished grandfather of Bryan, Aaron, Jill, Jonathan and Jeffrey. Dear friend of Helen DeFeo. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Monday morning, June 19th at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Stanislaus Church, 163 Chestnut Street, CHELSEA at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-6 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. For over 35 years a teacher in the Chelsea School System, United States Navy Lieutenant during WW II seein action in the Pacific on the destroyer USS Cushing, longtime Physical Education Director for the Chelsea YMCA and Camp Robie, Treasurer and graduate of the CHS Class of '39 during which time he was co-captain of the Chelsea High Football Team and in 1938 was named to the first string choice for All Scholastic guard. Former CHS Football Coach, Summa cum laude graduate from Holy Cross College with a MA in Education from Boston University. Member of the Lions Club, Elks Club, K of C # 83, Vice President of the Friends of the Council of Elder Affairs and active member of the Chelsea Senior Center. Bill, at 85 years, passed away June 14th at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after an illness of 3 months.
