Attilio Pannone, 73, of Medway died peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2023 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Shiely) Pannone and the late Pasqualina Pannone.
Born in Gioia Sannitica, Italy on September 19, 1949, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Rosina (Del Greco) Pannone.
Attilio grew up in Italy and came to the United States at the age of 19. He resided in Cheshire, Connecticut for many years until moving to Medway five years ago.
He owned and operated his own business, Metal Profiles, an aluminum window company, for many years. After that he founded Matilda Company, which he managed until his retirement.
Attilio had a great love of soccer. In his younger years, he played in Italy. He enjoyed watching his sons and grandson play soccer and rarely missed a game. He also followed major league baseball and enjoyed watching old movies. Attilio loved going on trips back to his home country of Italy to visit family and friends.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Mario Pannone, Pasqualino Pannone, and Rosina (Pannone) Feser and their families. He is also survived by his sister Sylvana Pannone and a step-daughter, Deborah Gorham and her family.
A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
