Albert G. Emond, 95, of E. Freetown passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at home. He was the husband of Doris A. (Paradis) Emond.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Leo and Yvonne (Dube) Emond, he was a longtime resident of E. Freetown. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the United States Navy. Prior to retirement, he worked as a oil burner technician for Don Adams Oil in New Bedford. Mr. Emond was a member of the New Bedford Rod & Gun Club and he enjoyed shooting at the range, fly fishing and photography.
Including his wife, he is survived by a son: Kenneth Emond and his wife Diane of E. Freetown; a granddaughter: Jessica Violette and her husband Barry; a great grandson: Nicholas Robbins; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Norman Emond, Hervy Emond and Florence Tanguay.
