Diane Dale DePetris (Johnson)
July 23, 1965 – May 25, 2023 (Age 57)
SANFORD, ME – Diane “DD” DePetris, Age 57, passed away peacefully in her home after a recent diagnosis with stage 4 cancer.
Born in Sanford, Maine and raised in Shapleigh, Maine, Diane attended the Shapleigh and Masssabesic School systems.
Loving daughter of John Paul Johnson and Laurette Johnson, she is survived by her mother, Laurette, daughter, Amanda DePeteris, previous husband of 25+ years, George Depetris, sisters, Janet (Johnson) Beal, Cynthia (Johnson) Tuttle, and brothers, Alan Johnson and Thomas Johnson, and loving nieces and nephews.
Diane was a lover of animals, the outdoors, enjoyed music, laughter and dance with family, friends, and neighbors. She enjoyed visiting friends at campgrounds, her sister and brother at their camps in Maine, and her other brother in Florida.
On Sunday, July 23, 2023, in memory of her birthday, a gathering will be held at Highland Grove Cemetery off Rt 11 in North Shapleigh, Maine at 10 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at the American Legion, upstairs banquet hall, 656 Maine Street, Springvale, Maine from Noon-4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to help pay for Diane’s funeral services and other expenses will be greatly appreciated and accepted in person at the above ceremonies or by mail:
