Obituary InformationMrs. Lachimia died unexpectedly Sunday in her home. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Guyette) Benoit, and was a lifelong resident. She attended St. Patrick School and had been a long time communicant of St. Patrick Church. She was a member of Massasoit College Senior Chorus for over 15 years; performing at Massasoit and at various Nursing Homes and Senior Centers throughout the Brockton area. She enjoyed playing Bingo, singing and was known for her good nature and fun loving attitude.She is survived by 1 son Joseph Lachimia, Jr. of Quincy and 1 daughter Phyllis B. Darling of Brockton, 1 grandson Joseph F. Darling and his wife Linda of Attleboro and 2 great grandchildren, Edward and Brian Darling also of Attleboro. 1 sister Helen Wise of BrocktonShe was the Sister of the late Eva Drumgool, Dolores Dunlap, George Benoit, Charles Benoit, Rose Duffy, Edna Meagher, Annie Caffrey, Doris Capozzi and Evelyn Estes.
