Obituary

Megan Summer Perron, born November 15, 2000, died unexpectedly May 21, 2023, at home in Dorchester. She is survived by her parents Rachael and Dale, her two brothers Alex and Chase, her stepfather Michael and her stepmother Tracy. She had just completed four years of service in the Army as a nutritionist and had returned home to begin college in the fall. She graduated from the Community Academy of Science and Health in 2019 where she was active in J.R.O.T.C. and played on the basketball team. She was also a cheerleader at Pathfinder High School in Palmer, MA previously and played softball as a catcher. She was accepted as a student at UMass Boston and intended to pursue a baccalaureate in Nursing. She was employed teaching children at the Goldfish Swim School in Brookline. She was committed to serving the community around her and was always quick to laugh and smile. Her every dream for her future involved her helping and loving others. A selfless soul too soon taken.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Megan’s life and spirit beginning at Midway recreational park in Bourne at 11:00 AM and then proceed or meet at The National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:30pm for Megan’s burial. Flowers are limited at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may consider a donation to the American Kidney Fund or the PKD Foundation. Megan was passionate about helping people with kidney conditions and planned on dedicating her career as a nurse to this practice area. These charities were selected because they are both focused on helping people with kidney disease, had 4 star ratings from Charity Navigator, and a Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar.
