Obituary

Charlotte E. (Arsenault) (Maccarone) Cataldo, 71, of Pepperell, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Boston Medical Center, surrounded by her loving daughter and dear friends. She was the wife of the late Vincent Cataldo and the former wife of the late Silvio Maccarone.

Born on October 14, 1951, in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Phyllis (Harney) Arsenault. Charlotte was raised and educated in East Boston, where she graduated from high school.
After her marriage, she relocated to Tewksbury to build a family. Charlotte was a long-time resident of Tewksbury, where she cultivated numerous lasting friendships. She had a zest for life and found joy in taking trips, dining out with loved ones, pampering herself at the salon, and she loved spending time at the beach, and shopping. She dedicated many years of service as a stock clerk at Gillette and more recently served as an observational sitter at Nashoba Valley Medical Center.

Charlotte is survived by her devoted daughter, Christine Maccarone, and her companion, Derek Barbin, of Pepperell. She adored her grandson, Jayden Jaymes Barbin. Additionally, she leaves behind her cherished friends, Darlene Belair of Methuen, Doreen DuCom of Lowell, Joe Mongiello of Chelsea and John Main of Lowell, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Carol Church.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 8:30 am until 10:30 am at the Tewksbury Funeral Home, located at 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am at Saint William's Church, followed by a procession to Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett for committal prayers.
