New Bedford – Cecilia (Santos) Gorman, age 91, Passed away on Sunday, May 28th, 2023 at Hathaway Manor in New Bedford with her loving family by her side, she was the loving wife of the late Philip M. Gorman.
She was born in Fall River to the late Manuel Santos and Ernestina Sousa, and worked for many years as an assembler at various factories in the area. One of the greatest blessings at the end of her life is that she accepted Jesus on May 7th.
Cecilia is survived by her son-in-law, Tony de Melo; her grandson, Kristopher de Melo and his wife Erin de Melo; her granddaughter, Sherri Ann Saquic and her fiancé Joshua Tennant; her great-granddaughter, Naomi R Saquic; and her great-grandson, Immanuel I Saquic; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cecilia was predeceased by her daughter Dian M. de Melo.
Cecilia’s visitation and funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2nd, 2023. Visitation will take place at Perry Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a service to take place during this time, followed by her entombment at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River.
