Obituary

Barbara A. (McLean) Ramm, 66, of Worcester passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at home on May 28th.
After lovingly caring for her husband, Scott Ramm, throughout his prolonged illness, Barbara was heartbroken to lose her best friend and soulmate in September 2022. Their souls are once again reunited in peace.
She is survived by her daughter, Erica (Ramm) Martin, son-in-law, Nathan, and grandson Caden, all of Hopedale. Caden adored his Grammy; they had an incredible bond and were blessed to have so many wonderful times together, though not nearly enough. Barbara is also survived by her bonus daughter Tiffany (Ramm) Racicot, her husband Michael, and their daughter, all of Oxford; and bonus son Derek Ramm, his wife Juli (Austin) and their daughter, all of Charlton. Barbara loved Tiffany and Derek as her own and loved being “Mia” to their daughters. She was always so grateful to have such a close and loving family and they are heartbroken to lose her.
Barbara leaves 3 brothers: Andrew McLean and his wife Louise of Newton, New Jersey; James McLean and his wife Ellen of Worcester; John McLean and his wife Sharon of Worcester. In addition, she leaves 7 sisters: Catherine Bowers of Worcester; Nancy Barry and her husband Robert of Sarasota, Florida; Mary Sanginario and her husband Brian of Worcester; Margaret Kenworthy of Worcester; Carol Barry and her husband Dennis of Rutland; Patricia Bates and her husband Michael of Holden; Elizabeth McGinn and her husband Peter of Worcester. Additionally, she leaves many nephews and nieces.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ann (Brady) McLean, formerly of Worcester.
Barbara was strong, generous, and loving. She had a way of making people feel comfortable and welcomed and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed the simple things such as reading in the sunshine, traveling, and listening to music, especially the years her husband Scott played drums with his band. Above all, Barbara loved spending time with her family. Those who knew her loved her quiet strength and unwavering loyalty.
Per Barbara’s wishes she will be honored with a private family celebration of life and ask that you remember her in your prayers. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
