Adelaide F. “Abby” Picano
Of Tewksbury


Adelaide F. “Abby” (Bruno) Picano, age 83, a longtime resident of Tewksbury, passed away at the Blaire House of Tewksbury on Sunday, May 28, 2023, after a hard-fought and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Everett on January 23, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Frederick T. Bruno and the late Mary (Vitukevich) Bruno.

Abby was raised in Everett and graduated from Everett High School.

She moved to Tewksbury in the 1970’s, where she raised her family.

For many years she devoted her time caring for the children of several area families.

She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, photography, and dancing.


Abby is survived by her three children, Paul F. Picano and his partner Lisa Lattuga, of North Andover, Stephen L. Picano, of Salt Lake City, UT and Pamela L. Moriarty and her husband Dennis, of Lowell: her granddaughter, Lindsay Picano, of Westbrook, ME. She was the sister of Mary “Gerri” Ravanesi and her late husband Peter, of Everett, and the late Paulette L. Santagate and her late husband Joseph J. Santagate, Sr., and the late Lorraine “Lorrie” Bruno.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 2nd, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, immediately followed by a prayer service to be held at the funeral home.
