James Allen Yoder

James A. "Jim" Yoder, 76, of Anderson died May 26, 2023 at Salamonie Reservoir while fishing with his granddaughter Ava.

He was born May 2, 1947, the son of Roy and Martha (Grow) Yoder.

He served in the United States Air Force.

He was a truck driver who owned and operated his truck most of his life before retiring in December of 2022. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, O. O. I. D. A. and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Sanders) Yoder of Anderson whom he married April 12, 1985; daughter, Lisa Scott of Louisville, Kentucky and son, Greg Talkington of Chesterfield; five siblings, Tom (Sue) Yoder of Fairmount; Ed (Cathy) Yoder of Greenfield; Fran (Frank) Schwartzkoph of Hartford City; Harold (special friend Mark) Yoder of Houston, Texas and Karen (Bill) Pugh of Hartford City; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. Kerry Robinson of East Side Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with graveside rites by the Daleville American Legion.

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Warriors.
