ROCHDALE: Carolyn J. (Best) LaCoste of 117 Charlton St. passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25th in Southbridge Rehab Nursing Home.
She was the wife of Armand LaCoste, who died in 1982. She leaves her son Peter LaCoste and his wife Novilyn, daughters; Marlene Burlingame of FL., and Lynn Burlingame of CT., 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters; Priscilla, Sandra, Nancy, Susan, and Katherine Best. Aside from her beloved husband, she is predeceased by her son Marlon Burlingame and sister Barbara, as well as her grandson Aaron Bash and great granddaughter Alexandra.
Carolyn was born in Leicester on September 8, 1932, the daughter of Samuel and Irene (Baisley) Best and later graduated from Leicester High School. She also raised Afghan Hounds.
In her spare time, Carolyn thoroughly enjoyed baking and gardening. She was an avid reader and a long-time member of the YWCA in Worcester. More importantly, she loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
