Obituary

Mrs. Regina S. (Sullivan) Brighton, a longtime resident of Andover and beloved wife of 33 years Stephen P. Brighton, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, following a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday morning, May 28, 2023. She was 59 years old.

Born in Winchester, Massachusetts, on May 21, 1964, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert A. and Gertrude A. (Ottino) Sullivan.

Regina was raised in Reading and was an All-American athlete holding a state track record at Reading High School, class of 1982. She had many Reading lifelong friends that she adored. Regina was also a graduate of Springfield College, class of 1986, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in physical education.

Regina and her husband Stephen were the founders and proprietors of Medical Healthcare Solutions in Andover, where she served the company as CFO, for many years. She was an avid sports enthusiast and an active hockey mom. Regina and Stephen enjoyed spending their summers on Martha’s Vineyard and spending time at their home on Marco Island in Florida. Regina loved to host, dance and sing with her beloved family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Above all, she was a very devoted and loving wife and mother.

Besides her husband, Stephen, Regina is survived by her loving children; Stephen J. and his wife Olivia Rose Brighton of Andover and Krystal A. Brighton of Andover, siblings; Robert A. and his wife Linda Sullivan of Andover, Maureen Sullivan of Andover, Denise and her husband Paul Russo of Harwich and Elizabeth and her husband Danny Regan of Albuquerque, New Mexico and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Paul T. Sullivan.

Regina’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 10 AM. All are welcome to go directly to the church. Calling hours will be held at St. Augustine Church on Wednesday evening from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be privately held. Donations in Regina's memory may be made to Project Home Again, P.O.
