Obituary

CHICOPEE – David Norman Innis, 71, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, May 26, 2023. He passed into Eternal Life at his home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday, April 22, 1952, a beloved son of the late Norman Ham Innis and Barbara Maude (Bates) Innis. He was raised in New York where he lived for many years before moving to Chicopee around 1993. He was previously employed as a counselor at Swift River Rehabilitation in Cummington where he assisted numerous people who struggled with addiction. He leaves his beloved wife and soul mate, Lisa B. (Conover) Innis. They were married on September 22, 2017 at the Quabbin Reservoir and enjoyed many years of happiness together. He also leaves his loving son, David N. Innis, Jr. of Connecticut; and his two loving step children, Melanie Conover and Darrin Breault, both of Chicopee. His services will be at private at the convenience of his family.
