Edgar Rossi 89, a long time resident of Needham, died on Monday June 12th at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. Born in Newton Edgar grew up in Needham graduating from Needham Schools. In 1942 he enlisted in the U.S. Army during WWII. After the service he became a self employed brick mason in the Needham area for many years and later went to work for the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers in Newton until he retired. Edgar was an avid bridge player at the Needham Senior Center. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Mary A. (Iarocci.) Loving father of Patricia M. (Rossi) Campion of Boston and Edgar M. Rossi and his wife Carol of Wareham. Brother of Grace Giumetti of Needham, Alba Filipetti of Wareham and Richard Rossi of Needham. Grandfather of Michael, Kevin and Emily. Visiting hours will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Friday from 5-8 pm followed by shared words of remembrance at 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
