Obituary

Mr. Stephen C. Ketterle, a longtime resident of Medford, passed away at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill on Wednesday evening, May 24, 2023. He was 60 years old.

Born in Malden, Massachusetts, on February 23, 1963, Stephen was the beloved son of the late Harold C. and Sylvia M. (Ravioli) Ketterle. Mr. Ketterle was a graduate of the Medford Vocational School. He had been employed as a Machinist and Heavy Equipment Operator, for many years. He will be dearly missed.

Stephen's most prized possession was his car. Stephen had a 1970 Chevrolet SS that he restored and loved to work on during his free time. He had such an amazing talent and passion for automotive and loved taking his classic muscle car for long drives with friends.

To honor Stephen, if any family members, friends or car enthusiasts would like to drive their car in a procession to his final resting place please do. Stephen would be honored to know you did. Stephen was loved by so many and knowing they came to say farewell is such fashion will make him smile down gracefully.

Stephen is survived by his loving brother; Glenn P. Ketterle of Medford and his best friend; Maria Sullivan of Windham, New Hampshire.

His Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 2, 2023, in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 5 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Donations in Stephen’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
