Carolyn M. DeSisto
Loving wife, mother, and grandmother

TEWKSBURY: Carolyn M. (Nicosia) DeSisto, age 76, a resident of Tewksbury for over 40 years, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Monday, May 22, 2023.

She was the beloved wife of Paul E. DeSisto, with whom she would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on May 25, 2023.

Born in Boston on April 29, 1947, she was the daughter of the late John Nicosia and the late Helen (Caiger) Nicosia.

Carolyn was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School in 1965.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as an assistant in the Tewksbury Public School Lunch Program and previously worked as an operator for the New England Telephone Company.

Carolyn treasured spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends as well as ceramics, cooking and hosting family gatherings.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Paul J. DeSisto and his wife Heidi, Keith M. DeSisto and his wife Kerri, Kristy M. DeSisto, and Craig A. DeSisto and his wife Becca, all of Tewksbury: her grandchildren, Samantha, Danielle, Dominik, Anthony, Isabel, Bianca, Angelo, Nicholas, Mia and Carlo DeSisto, Maximus Sharkey, and Lincoln DeSisto. She was the sister of Helen Ferrazzani and her husband Louis, of North Reading, James Nicosia, Joseph Nicosia and his wife Colleen, all of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and the late John J. Nicosia, Jr. and Maria Nicosia. She leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Care Dimensions for the outstanding care they provided to Carolyn.

Calling hours are Thursday, May 25th from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral procession will begin Friday, May 26th, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452
