Obituary

Millbury_ Damian C. DiLeo, 68, of East Millbury, died Tuesday, April 25, 2023, after a brief illness in UMass Memorial Hospital, University Campus. His wife of forty years, Carol J. (Mikolajczyk) DiLeo died in 2017. He is survived by his two sisters, Annette DiLeo Pettis and her husband Dennis of Lilburn, GA, Helen Wesloski and her husband James of Blufton, SC; sister-in-law Janine Stuczko and her husband Edward of Oxford; nieces and nephews; many great nephews; one great great niece. and many cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his brother, Joseph DiLeo. He was born in Worcester, a son of Joseph and Helen (Kulak) DiLeo.
Mr. DiLeo, a lifelong Millbury resident, owned and operated the Liberty Heights Cafe in East Millbury, taking over fifty-one years after his father’s passing. He graduated from St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School and attended Worcester State University. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed the New England teams. With the Café, he sponsored a soft ball team, and local golf tournaments. A great sense of humor, Damie always enjoyed a good time and sharing it with friends and family. Generous to a fault and kind-hearted, he will be missed by his family and the many people he touched.
Calling hours will be in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm followed by a memorial service at 2:30pm.
