LaJoie of Taunton, brother of Doris M. LaPointe and Marie L. Benoit both of Brockton, and the late Richard E. LaJoie.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish (St. Colman) at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Hours Wednesday at 4-7pm.

Robert E. LaJoie, Sr. 63 years, died Sunday morning at his sons home where he had been staying following a period of failing health. Born and raised in Brockton, son of the late Albert O. and Loretta F. (Cloutier) LaJoie. He attended Brockton schools and had been the former owner of LaJoie Auto Sales, Middleboro Trailer Sales, Reliable Glass Company, Irene’s Pub all in Middleboro and employed as a salesman at Russo’s RV Sales in Lakeville retiring in 2001.
He was a member of the Mitchell Club in Middleboro, former member of Club National in Brockton, member of the Wood Chopper’s Bowling League at the Maple Alley’s in Brockton, since the early sixties until its closing. He was an avid Elvis fan, loved to sing and loved to travel around the world.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Feeney) LaJoie of Taunton, two daughters Denise LaJoie-Lovely of Brockton, Michelle LaJoie (Sullivan) Bell of Pennsylvania, two sons Robert E. LaJoie Jr. of Middleboro and Michael R. LaJoie of Taunton, two sisters Doris M. LaPointe and Marie L. Benoit both of Brockton, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. He also leaves two nieces, two nephews and many cousins. He was the brother of the late Richard E. LaJoie and husband of the late Anna (Kavanagh) LaJoie.
