Lillian (Mitchell) Bernardo, 79, of Rochester died Sunday June 11, 2006 at Tobey Hospital due to complications from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. She was the wife of Alexander Bernardo.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late George and Mary Ann (Butterworth) Mitchell, she lived in North Haven, Conn., for 50 years before moving to Rochester last year.
Mrs. Bernardo was formerly employed as a bank clerk for First Bank in New Haven, Conn.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Rhonda Criscuolo, and her husband Paul, of Mattapoisett; a granddaughter, Rachel Criscuolo; and nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in South Baptist Church, 745 Brock Ave., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett.
