On the morning of May 13, 2023, Kathleen “Kathy” Joan Smith passed away from a sudden illness at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Kathy was 64 years old.
Kathy was born to Thomas and Joan Smith on October 23, 1958. Kathy graduated from Coyle & Cassidy High School and attended Katherine Gibbs College. Kathy was married in 1987 to James F. Biltcliffe Jr. and was able to be a homemaker raising and caring for her three children while assisting with the family business.
Kathy was a wonderful mother to her three children Kristen Smith of Fairhaven, Melissa Biltcliffe and James Biltcliffe III of Swansea. Kathy always went above and beyond for them making sure they had all they needed. Together they have shared endless memories. Kathy loved spending time together with family, traveling, gardening and going to the beach. Kathy had a love for life.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, ex husband and granddaughter Ashleigh.
She is survived by her three brothers, Thomas, Gregory of Taunton and Brian Smith of Dartmouth. Kathy is survived by her 2 grandchildren Brianna and Rylie. Kathy adored her grandchildren and fur babies more than anything. She was also a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews and cousins.
A public visitation will be held on Monday May 22, 2023 from 5:00-6:30pm at O’Keefe and Wade Funeral Home Taunton, followed by a service at 6:30-7:00pm.
