Martha Woods Alford, 80, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Brushy Creek Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia, with Pastor Ryan West officiating.
Ms. Alford was born December 2, 1942, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Jessie & Lodie Tucker Woods. She was a caregiver and a member of Ocilla Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two sons: John Alford & Joan of Pavo and Donald Alford & Vicky of Ochlocknee; seven grandchildren: Mallory Pakebusch & Scott of Havelock, North Carolina, Meagan Kohtanen & Eetu of Atlanta, Elizabeth Alford of Pavo, Erin Alford of Pavo, Matthew Alford of Thomasville, Garrette West & Frankie of Thomasville and Ryan West & Meredith of Coolidge; eight great-grandchildren: Danette Grace Pakebusch, Jack West, Charlie Ann West, Suzzana Terrell, Sonny Terrell, Myles West, Brooks Tillman West and Maggie Ruth West; a brother, Woodrow “Woody” Woods; and two sisters: Ruby Lodge and Myrtle Portier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tillman Woods.
