Obituary

Janice A. (Mancusi) Park passed away peacefully at her Somerville home on Monday night. She was 79. Raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Frank V. and Antoinette M. (DiRusso) Mancusi.

Janice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She cared deeply for her family and friends. A life-long resident of Somerville, Janice earned her associates degree and worked as an administrative assistant with State Street Bank in Boston. Once she was married, Janice devoted herself to her family. As a young child, she was afflicted with polio, but with faith, energy and determination, she overcame her illness and put that energy to work with her family. As her daughter, Dina, grew up, Janice became the perfect "dance mom" and was her biggest cheerleader. Janice supported Dina’s love for dance and was there for lessons, recitals, pageants, competitions, fashion shows, and modeling auditions. Janice also enjoyed time by the beach at the family's home in Wareham. She was a devoted wife to her husband Wesley and supported and cared for her parents as they became elderly. She enjoyed every minute she could with her grandchildren and was so pleased to see their accomplishments as they've grown into adulthood. And, she had a special place in her heart for her grand dogs: Dierks, Serenity and the late Harley.

The beloved wife of the late Wesley I. Parks who passed away in 2018, Janice was a loving mother to Dina A. Park-Matsas and her husband James of Tewksbury. She leaves her cherished grandchildren: Krystal, Amber and Charles Matsas all of Tewksbury
