Longtime resident of West Roxbury, formerly of Newton, passed away on May 15th, 2023. Jack former husband of Karen Kennedy, was a devoted father to Lauren Kennedy and her husband Adam Mundt of Boston, as well as David Kennedy of Newton. He was a loving brother to Joyce Donegan Campbell and Gina Kennedy, and also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Jack's deep love for animals was evident throughout his life, as he was the dedicated owner of the Continental Shop in West Roxbury. With great pride, he nurtured and ran his business for an impressive 45 years. Jack possessed a remarkable spirit of generosity and extended a helping hand to those in need. He actively supported and sponsored friends on their journey to recovery. Jack's exceptional wit and clever sense of humor often delved into the darker and more sarcastic realms, never failing to bring laughter and joy to those around him. His gift for making others laugh will forever be treasured.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visiting hours at the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, located at 2000 Centre Street, West Roxbury, on Friday, May 19th, from 4-7pm. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Jack's memory to the MSPCA, located at 350 S Huntington Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
