Donna Kaye Bishop Stone, 52, of Tifton passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jason Clanton officiating. Mrs. Stone will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be meeting at 3799 U. S. Highway 82 West in Tifton.
Rocky Hancock, Ty Shirah, Adam Tarrant, Will Rowell, Charlie Carroll and Gabriel Langston will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ayden Watson, Ryan Harris and Oliver Hood.
Born February 2, 1971, in Tifton, Mrs. Stone was the daughter of Helen Reeves Greene and her husband Jimmy Greene of Chaserville and the late Thomas Oliver Bishop. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, William Lawton Smith. She worked as a nurse at Berrien Nursing and Rehab Center for over 20 years and she was of the Baptist faith. Her family and patients were most important to her and she especially loved her grandkids. She loved the outdoors and arts and crafts.
In addition to her mother and step-father, Mrs. Stone is survived by her husband of 33 years, Mark “Heith” Stone of Tifton; her step-mother, Patricia Bishop of Andalusia, Alabama; three daughters and one son-in-law, Heather Harris and Amber and Cody Tarrant, all of Tifton and Victoria Stone of Lenox; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Cindy and Mike Lindsey of Sparks, Tammy and Chris Langston of Ocilla and Suprena Calhoun of Andalusia, Alabama; five grandchildren, Ayden Watson, Kylie Tarrant, Raygan Harris, Oliver Hood and Ryan Harris.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
