Obituary

Jason William Tripp, 42, of Dartmouth, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, May 14, 2023. He was the son of Deborah Seavor of Little Compton and the late Jack Seavor.

Jason was born in Fall River and grew up on Yankee Bill Farm in Westport. He spent his childhood playing various sports, where he excelled in baseball, and was co-captain of the track team. He was a 1998 graduate of Westport High School and attended CCRI where he continued his love for baseball. As a young adult Jason moved to Florida where he developed his passion for fitness. He started as a personal trainer and worked as a manager of many gyms including Crunch Fitness as a regional manager. Jason pursued his dreams and lifelong goal of helping millions of people as a business owner of Freedom Mobile Fitness. He brought an upbeat and enthusiastic approach to everyone. Jason was an amazing man who loved his family, always willing to lend a helping hand, lover of the beach, the ocean and his dogs. One of his most important titles was Uncle, as he would never miss the chance to spend time with his nieces and nephews whether at home or cheering them on at sporting events.

Survivors along with his mother include his fiancée Megan Lopes and her family of Dartmouth; his maternal grandmother: Joan Tripp of Little Compton; loving brother to Justin Seavor and wife Renee of Westport; wonderful uncle to Braylon, Declan, Savannah, and Alianna, two aunts, one uncle and their spouses along with many cousins, friends, and devoted clients. He was the brother of the late Abigail Seavor and the grandson of the late Donald Tripp. Jason was especially devoted to his fur children Luna, Koda and the late Willie.

Jason and Megan enjoyed many adventures together on their boat, traveling to Florida, and taking nature hikes with their two dogs. He will be missed immeasurably.
