Beverly Sue (Welker) Alexander

Beverly Sue (Welker) Alexander, 96, of Anderson passed away on May 15, 2023 following a one week illness.
She was born on January 31, 1927 in Anderson to William and Rachel (Jones) Welker.
She was the assistant head cashier at Kroger for 25 years and retired in 1982. She formerly attended North Anderson Church of God. She volunteered for RSVP. She loved football and was an avid Colts fan. She enjoyed bird watching, crocheting, oil painting, and listening to music.
She is survived by her five children, Linda Garrison, Jim (Sandy) Alexander Jr., Bill (Jan) Alexander all of Anderson; David (Melissa) Alexander of North Pole, Alaska and Jennifer Coots of Anderson; an adopted daughter, Lois (Lee) Brown of Virginia; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, James R. Alexander Sr.; six brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. The burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00pm-5:00pm on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to AMVETS or Madison County Humane Society.
