LIMERICK- Larry Philip Wilson of Limerick, 75 years old, passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday, May 13, 2023. He was born April 10, 1948, in Portland, son of Romona Wilson. He was raised by his grandparents, Philip and Louise Wilson on Bonny Eagle Pond in Buxton. Larry attended Buxton schools exceling in cross country track where he achieved third place in the state finals. He held various jobs to include achievements as a second-class machinist and a certified pressman. His pride and joy was his business, Dirago Flag Car, where he owned/operated a very successful over dimensional load moving business all over New England as a Transportation Coordinator for over 2 decades. Larry enjoyed life, living it to the fullest, the way he wanted to. As he became older he developed a passion for cars, building, driving and racing them. Hot rods, muscle cars and corvettes to name a few. He would have raced you with a lawn tractor if he could! His love for cooking spoiled everyone with excellent cheesecakes, sweet breads and pork pies. With the demand for his goodies the thought of opening his own bakery crossed his mind! Another little-known fact was that he liked to play classical music while cooking! Always looking to entertaining family and friends. He always looked forward to "chit chat" with the neighbors and weekly cribbage games.
