DONOVAN, Mary A. “Mim” (Kennedy) Age 97, of Dedham, May 15, 2023. Beloved wife of the late John R. Donovan. Daughter of the late Martin J. and Bridget A. Kennedy. Sister of the late Margaret E. (Peggy) Bradbury and Ann C. (Nancy) O’Brien. Mim is survived by numerous beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great grand-nieces and great grand-nephews.
Mim was a lifelong resident of Dedham and a proud graduate of Dedham High School, Class of 1943. She formerly worked at the Norfolk County Commissioner’s Office in Dedham for many years. Mim enjoyed her home on Cape Cod and loved hosting her family and friends there through the years. She loved to travel, gardening, arts and crafts and painting. Mim was especially proud of the close relationship she had with her nieces and nephews and enjoyed many holidays and special occasions in their homes. She will be greatly missed by all of those who loved her. A special thanks to Jerry and Coletta Bradbury and their family for the wonderful, devoted and loving care they provided to Mim for many years.
Visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Thursday, May 18th from 10AM to 1PM, followed by services in the funeral home at 1:15PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Mim’s memory to St. Mary’s Church, 420 High St., Dedham, MA, 02026.
